Özet

We present a comprehensive study of the structural, morphological, magnetic, and catalytic properties of Ni-rich PtNi alloy nanoparticles (NPs). Structural analysis revealed the formation of a face-centered cubic structure with fm 3 ¯ m space group with an average size of 9 nm. Magnetic characterization revealed temperature-dependent magnetization with TB ranging from 12.5 to 22.4 K, indicating superparamagnetic behavior. The highest ECSA value of 41.02 m2 g−1Pt was obtained for the 5% Pt sample, and it decreased with increasing Pt content, which compared favorably with commercially available Pt/C catalysts. The overpotential at 10 mA cm−2 for Pt0.2Ni0.8 NPs was 49.3 mV (vs. RHE) for HER activity, demonstrating higher performance than other PtNi-based catalysts. The oxygen evolution reaction (OER) performance of the PtNi NPs showed enhanced current densities above 1.54 V, with the overpotential decreasing from 1.395 to 1.116 V with increasing Pt ratio.
