Özet

A rhabdomyosarcoma could be identified at the head of a fourteen-year-old male Doberman dog, together with metastases in the lungs. The sarcoma mass at the head predominantly consisted of oval, roundish, and polygonal cells of different size with hyperchromatic nuclei, including an eosinophilic border of the cytoplasm. Mitotic figures were also visible and sometimes giant cells occurred. Similar neoplastic cells were found in the lungs. Masson-trichrome staining together with positive immunohistochemical reactions for actin, desmin and vimentin demonstrated that the neoplastic cells at the head and in the lungs were striated muscle cells.
